Frank Willams was always a visionary and motorsport pioneer, as such Williams is synonymous with the glory days of british motorsport with drivers such as Nigel Mansel, Damon Hill winning multiple titles and championships for the team.
We are therefore thrilled to announce as part of our series of interactive challenges we will be collaborating with Williams esports to allow you the chance to race against some of the most exciting drivers in the esports scene
Meet Salih SaltuncWillams esports pro driver from the UK
Salih Saltunc is one of the top three drivers for the Williams Esports Formula 1 team, he caught up with 1st11 to give us some insight into what it is like to race for one of the most respected and iconic teams in british racing. Also how he found his way into sim racing professionally before setting a lap time for an interactive 1st11 challenge, make sure you check out his interview with Tom Gaymor.
Salih is a professional F1 esports driver from the UK, driving for Williams Esports. Salih was introduced to racing by his Dad who started him gaming on Grand Prix 3 before switching to F1 titles in 2014. It was in 2015 - 2016 that Salih started to get serious and at University spent a lot of time racing against his brother (who also made it to the professional esports elite, signing with Alfa Romeo Sauber in 2018). Saltunc finished the 2018 F1 Esports Pro Series fourth in the drivers championship and the 2019 season in 10th. Now he has become part of the three driver line-up for Williams in 2020 ahead of the new season.

Meet Phelipe Reis from BrazilWilliams esports Forza meistro
Phelipe is a professional Forza driver from Brazil driving for Williams esports. He has been playing video games ever since he was 3 years old and started playing Forza when he got an Xbox 360 and Forza Motorsport 4 playing career racing mode which enabled him to discover the tracks, cases and customization available in the game. With the arrival of Forza Motorsport 5 Phelipe started playing Forza competitively and since January 2014 was on his way to becoming a professional esports player. He became their best Brazilian player within a year of playing the game professionally.

Phelipe has raced for multiple teams in the Forza esports scene - starting his career with Jarspeed Racing, moving to Sauber before joining williams in March 2020. The best part of the Forza Racing Championship experience for Phelipe is that he gets to travel around the world and meet up with fellow drivers across new locations by simply playing Forza Motorsport 7.
