Five VR games coming your way in 2021
Everybody says it: 2021 will be the big year for virtual reality. It would be great, but we are not sure yet if PlayStation will launch a new PSVR headset, so swiftly after the PlayStation 5 release. We shall see. What we do know is that there are some amazing VR games coming your way in 2021. LauraJenny will show you which ones you should be looking out for.

After the Fall
Vertigo Games has announced a co-op VR shooter for PC VR and PlayStation VR. It was supposed to arrive in 2020, but it will now arrive in early 2021. After The Fall might sound like an army shooter, but it is quite different. It offers zombie shooting with up to four players. The setting? A frozen no man's land. This follow-up to the studio’s successful game Arizona Sunshine seems to be giving us some Left4Dead-like fun, feeling extra lonely and alone in this wasteland thanks to the immersive VR experience.

Panzer Dragoon: Voyage Record
Many might say the era of rail shooters is over, but SEGA’s Panzer Dragoon will do its best to prove them wrong. The 90’s hit is back in VR and Voyage Record will offer up a compilation of the three Panzer Dragoon games. Exciting, as two of the games are shooters, while the third is more of an RPG. We are counting on a totally new Panzer Dragoon experience to fight, level up, fight and level up again. All in fabulous first person perspective and a 360 view, which is very well suited for an on-rail game.

Hitman 3 VR
Also arriving early in 2021 is a game within a franchise thats already so popular, there are multiple spin-offs. Hitman is famous for making gamers kill a bit more strategically. Meaning: you are a secret agent so you can’t just walk into a room and start shooting everybody. You have certain targets and you have to be stealthy. Hitman 3 is the final chapter of the PlayStation 4 trilogy and it is great to experience this in virtual reality. You can explore the locations of all three games of the trilogy in VR. That is twenty or more different places to check out.

Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife
This game from Sweden is a reality-horrorgame. Fast Travel Games has a lot in store to freak us out and we are already looking forward to the videos on Twitch and YouTube. Wraith might even be too real. It’s doom, it’s dark and it is all happening in the universe of World of Darkness. From tabletop to virtual reality experience, we can’t wait to see what Fast Travel Games has got to offer.

Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual
The games above might be a bit too serious, so let’s go with a funny one as the fifth and last entry to this list. Sam & Max are famous as a duo fighting crime. They are animals that behave like humans, to make sure we connect to them more. Well, with the VR goggles on our head we might connect even better, being placed right in the middle of the gaming world. It is still very much in the works though, so we have not really seen lots of it yet. However, anything that involved a cute bunny and a dog looking like a detective sounds pretty fun right? Especially when it comes to Sam & Max, because they are one hilarious duo.
Can’t wait for 2021? There are so many virtual reality games to enjoy right now. How about Superhot VR, Rez Infinite, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files and Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. One of the most loved VR games is Half Life: Alyx, which came out this year. Do not forget to drink lots of water, take breaks and refrain from getting nauseous. Enjoy!
